Pacific Edge
PRODUCT DETAILS
Some landscapes don't need you in them to feel personal.
This one just needed the fog to lift enough to show the scale of what's underneath.
Captured on 35mm film along the Big Sur coast, California.
The Pacific stretched wide and flat beneath a ridgeline half-swallowed by marine fog. A bridge threaded through the cliff face like an afterthought — dwarfed by the headland above and the dark water below. Rock formations punctuated the shoreline, and the coast rolled back in layers until it disappeared completely into haze.
This image remains unaltered from its original exposure. No colour correction, no cropping, no refinement. What existed in that moment is what remains here. Grain, imperfection, and all.
Part of the Still Archives collection - to hold on to real moments, and remind us to come back to them.
