Sometimes the emptiness is the whole point. A coastline with nothing to prove and no one to impress. It carries so much beauty.

Captured on 35mm film along a remote stretch of southern Australian coast.

Overcast sky pressed flat against the water, blurring where one ended and the other started. A single wave peeled through the middle distance. The only thing moving in the entire frame. Behind it, low dunes stretched back in an unbroken line, scrubby and wind-worn. No colour. No people. Just weather doing what it does when no one's watching.

This image remains unaltered from its original exposure. No colour correction, no cropping, no refinement. What existed in that moment is what remains here. Grain, imperfection, and all.
